James Gilmore - President
Jamie comes to Pavilion Floors, Inc. with an extensive background in the flooring industry.
He worked with his father for four years as Partner at T.G. Installations where he managed labor and
warehousing for the third generation family-owned flooring company. While there, he controlled commercial
projects including Marriott Long Wharf, The Bostonian, and New York Life Insurance. From here, Jamie
moved on to Hancock Paint Co. where he was the Director of the Flooring Division for 8 years. He ran 14
retail locations and was responsible for large projects including, The Willard Hotel, Washington, D.C.
and Springdale Manor – a 700 unit residential complex. Prior to coming to PFI, Jamie worked for 9 years
as a Commercial Account Manager at Shaw Flooring. His $3,000,000 plus in annual sales included projects
such as Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Olin College, Cisco Systems, Cambridge Park, Fidelity,
and Boston Athenaeum – the largest sheet linoleum project in Boston. Jamie is responsible for overseeing
and managing the sales staff as well as day-to-day operations of the entire business. He is President
of the Northeast Floorcoverers Association, Trustee to the Joint Apprentice Training Fund
(Local 2168), Member of the Board of Joint Apprentice Training Committee (Local 2168), and Management
Director International Board of INSTALL, Management Member INSTALL CRI#104-05 Review Committee. He also serves on the
ANSI S600 Substrate Revisions sub-committee. Some
of his current projects include Brigham & Women’s Hospital Shapiro Cardiac Center, Fidelity Real Estate,
Boston University Housing, Fenway Park, Mercy Medical Center and Harvard University Riverside Grad.
